Cat 6A

Finalised in 2008, Cat 6A (Augmented) has a bandwidth of 500MHz. It has been designed to support the latest 10G Ethernet protocol. However, the high frequency range has presented new challenges, most notably alien crosstalk (signal interference between adjacent cables), which is safely overcome by using a high performance shield.
